To Sofia Wade; “to when we meet again”
The photographic image is an instant of the reality, but at hte end, is the reality in its deep fullness where the fact, the condition or the object and its circumstance are reflected in an unrepeatable way.
The photography helps to prolong memory and the historic durability of the fact.
From its perspective and sensibility, Jorge Wade’s work in “Silences & Other voices”, is an example of the man facing its reality and the codification of the world aspects that he does.
In these works there are parts, realistic and imaginary human elements that the author achieve combine in order to put us close to the scrutiny and the perception of the reality from a different point of view than the simple look at the things.
One such aspect that stands out is the light, very manifest a mystical connotation of the idea of the light and the soul as a manifestation of the unfathomable, the human itself.
